Minimum wage: Stella Odey commends Ayade for successful implementation

...calls on HOLGAs to sensitize thier workers on Covid-19 preventive measures

...Directs HOLGASs in border communities to partner Government agencies to shut down all borders and to report suspected cases of Covid-19.

Sequel to the implimentation of minimum wage, the Hon commissioner for local Government Affairs Hon. Stella Odey- Ekpo commends the digital Governor of cross River State Sen.Prof Ben Ayade  for having effectively implemented the minimum wage of local Government workers.

Mrs. Ekpo said the Governor is very  sensitive to the plight of workers by paying their salaries promptly to enable them stock up their homes in observance of the sit at home order in wading off covid-19. She calls  on all Heads of Local Government Administrations to sensitise their workers adequately for them to observe all the rules of frequent hand washing, keeping social distances, using hand sanitizers et, to avoid being infected by covid-19 virus.

She further directs all HOLGAs in border communities to partner with Government Agencies to shut down all borders accordingly and reiterated that HOLGAS of local Government Areas should work with Health workers to ensure that suspected cases of Covid-19 be promptly reported.
