The school of vacational studies is the last hope of a child that's deficient in cognitive and affective skills. Take for instance the cobblers on our streets, markets and even under the bridge. They do not spend their money and time to acquire the 9-3-4 system of education neither did they ruin their time pursuing their politician uncles with fat pocket, with cap in hand. But they devotedly acquire their religious education in such a way that they have the Holy Quran not in their shelves, but in their brain so that wherever they go they can communicate with their God. They trek so many kilometers daily, not with their hands in the pocket but with some pair of scissors ✂, sharp blades for manicure and pedicure or a mobile sewing machine to render their services to earn their living. By this religious cum business engagements, it's crystal clear that they are educated men since they can identify their potentials and explore and apply their skills to satisfy their physiological, economic, religious, safety or security needs.
Possibly, these young fellows attempted the western education but couldn't meet up with the cognitive and affective requirements of the complex curriculum of the Western education. Nevertheless, the fact that our western education has little facilities for the development of psychomotor skills could be their reason for choosing a trade that is skill oriented. There are so many school children who have left school due to the challenge posed by their weakness in cognitive tasks. Since an idle mind is the devil's workshop, such school dropout are willing tools to be used to cause social disorder by the bad citizens in our society. The point is that since education rests on a tripod of Cognitive, Affective and psychomotor domains, efforts should be made to develop the child's psychomotor skills since the child must not be an aeronautic engineer, medical doctor or lawyer before he can gain self-actualization in life.
In brief, a good shoemaker or street sweeper is better than a bad pilot; bad aeronautic engineer; bad medical doctor and a bad lawyer. Thus, instead of raising an ineffective, inefficient and "unprofessional professional" raise a street sweeper who will impact the society positively instead of the former who will send the whole world into social crises nay extinction through professional inadequacies.
