NYSC Ekiti State Clarifies Report Of Corps Members Testing Positive To COVID-19.

The Zonal Coordinator, National Youths Service Corps, SouthWest Area Office in Osun State, Mr Emmanuel Attah, has debunked the rumor making the rounds that a corps member in Ekiti State NYSC Orientation Camp tested positive to the deadly Corona Virus.

Mr Attah who in a statement signed and issued by him in Osogbo described the report that a corps member has tested positive as ‘fake and being peddled by mischievous people” and therefore wishes to inform the general public to disregard such reports.

According to Mr Attah, the report which further added that the corps member has been moved to the State Isolation Centre situated at Oba Adenuyigbe Hospital, Anilosun, Ado-Ekiti was not only saddening but misleading and damaging.

The statement which reads, “The attention of the NYSC has been drawn to a fake and unsubstantiated news making the rounds that a corps member presently in NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ise-Orun, Ekiti State has tested positive to coronavirus and has been moved to the State Isolation Centre situated at Oba Adenuyigbe Hospital, Anilosun, Ado-Ekiti.

“The said report was in bad light and it is orchestrated just to mislead Nigerians especially, parents and guardians of members of the service corps that are in NYSC Camps nationwide.

“With every sense of responsibility, I wish to reiterate the commitment of the scheme to continue to wage unrelenting war against whatever pandemic that may rear its ugly head near any NYSC formation nationwide with far reaching actions in order to guard against the contraction of any deadly virus by corps members.

“I equally wish to add that the corps member that was purportedly alleged to have tested positive was taken to a Laboratory in Ede, Osun State for comprehensive medical test to determine the veracity or otherwise of the damaging allegation and I am happy to inform the general public that the corps member tested negative to the dreaded epidemic.

“Once again, I want to repeat that no corps member has tested positive to coronavirus or any other disease in all the formations nationwide.

He used the medium to enjoin newsmen to always endeavour to seek information and clarification from NYSC management or the accredited spokesperson before going to public with such damaging news items adding that the NYSC remains committed to the remarkable welfare and well-being of all corps members nationwide.

See the new way Bishop Oyedepo designed to still collect tithe and offering in this COVID 19 period.

New USSD For Offering And Tithe In Winners Chapel: *389*30*1# for all networks.

This is Oyedepo's contribution to fight Covid 19. We always think politicians are the worst people in Nigeria but Covid 19 has exposed these criminals. While politicians are soliciting for fund for Nigerians. These pastors are thinking of how to empty us at this trying time.

I love this initiative by the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel). It shows how creative Bishop Oyedepo is. Sincerely, I admire his ingenuity in Business. You can't take that from him. He leads, others follow!

Whether you are for or against this initiative, you will be opposed by someone.

No matter the explanations you give, those who would still attack you for airing your opinions will do.

If you like, write another 95 Theses, copying Martin Luther's style, those who would still pay will pay. However, some will be liberated.

If Bishop Oyedepo doesn't need our #100, #20, #50 offerings since he's already blessed as claimed by his children, why can't he prove his "being blessed" by not taking all the underlisted offerings for the time being? Why shouldn't he channel his blessings more into fighting the Corona Virus pandemic in Nigeria so that churches under his jurisdiction can meet again? Didn't the Bible say it is more blessed to give than to receive? Why is Bishop Oyedepo not rather giving in a time like this, when some of his members cannot go to work? Why is he still receiving as a blessed man he is?

I come in Peace!

Every Blessing!

Father kills son for beheading his mother in Enugu

The rustic Iheaka community in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State, Wednesday, thrown into confusion as a man, Cyril Ugwu, allegedly beheaded his son, Kenneth Ugwu, who had earlier killed his mother for ritual.

It was gathered that Kenneth Ugwu, a spare parts dealer in Lagos, reportedly returned to the village to visit his parents without the parents knowing his intention.

A community source, who gave her name simply as Miss Adaeze, said that Kenneth returned from Lagos pretending to have returned to help the mother on her farmland to harvest palm fruit.

“When they got to the farm, rather than cut the palm fruit for the mother, Kenneth cut-off the mother’s head and put it in a black polythene bag.

“When he got home, the father inquired about the whereabouts of his wife, but he reportedly lied to him that she was on her way home. He quickly rushed to the bathroom to take a bath and leave for Lagos”, the source said.

But his father, Cyril Ugwu, who was suspicious of his son’s sudden decision to return to Lagos, went to check the content of the polythene bag only to find the severed head of his wife.

Irked by the heinous act, he quickly loaded his double-barrel gun and waited for the son to come out and shot him as he stepped out to leave for Lagos.

The incident threw the entire community into wailing and tears as the men mobilized and went in search of the remaining parts of the remains of the slain woman.

Her corpse was later found dumped on a footpath with several machete cuts all over her body.

When contacted, the Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, Ndukwe Ekea, said he has not got the report and requested to get in touch with his men in the area.

Federal Government Requirements to Receive 10,000 Naira Funds in your account - CBN

Understanding requirements for opening 10,000 bank account for Covid -19

Opening a bank account is one of those tasks that need to be done—but it is not exciting. Plus, it is not something you do every day, so you may be uncertain about how to do it: What information do you need, and how do you know which account is best?

Whether you are opening your first account or your 50th, the goal is to get the task completed as quickly as possible and move on to more enjoyable things on your to-do list. The tips below should help you get up and running fast, according www.thebalance.com.

Make sure you open the right account

Switching banks and opening new accounts is not easy, so make sure you only need to do it once. Get familiar with different types of accounts and pick the ones that meet your needs.

Savings accounts are best for holding money and earning a small amount of interest (here are some with the best interest rates). You can’t really spend money from those accounts (unless you withdraw cash), but you can move funds to a current account for spending.

Current accounts are for everyday spending and paying bills. Even if you never write a cheque, you should get a debit card that you can use online and in stores. Plus, billers like to pull funds from current accounts, and your employer may want to send your wages to a current account.

Money market accounts let you do limited spending while also paying interest—often more than you will earn in a savings account.

Fixed deposit are useful for money that you don’t intend to spend any time soon—at least six months—and that you want to keep safe in the bank.

Online-only accounts are among the least expensive options, but you miss some of the benefits of a brick-and-mortar branch. You can always use online accounts and brick-and-mortar accounts.

What you need to open an account

Now that you have chosen the right account, it is time to complete an application. In many cases, this can be done entirely online. However, some banks require you to print the application (or at least a signature card) and mail it in. With others, you might need to visit a branch in-person.

Get the following items handy for your application (you want to get this done in one shot so you can move on to more important things):

Bank Verification Number.
Date of birth (see below if you’re under the age of 18)
Your physical address (you can also use a separate mailing address, but a physical/street address is required)
Identification (a driver’s license, passport, or other government-issued ID)
You might also need a secondary form of ID. Contact your bank or read through the documentation for any other requirements.

Under18?

If you are under 18 years old, you would need somebody over age 18 to open the account with you. You still might be able to use a debit card and online banking, and you can eventually get your own account. But banks need at least one adult on an account to get you started. With some banks, it does not need to be a parent—any trusted adult will do.

Joint accounts

If you are opening a joint account of any kind, you would need the personal information for all of the account holders and a signature from each of them. It is best to get everybody together in one place to complete the application.

Initial deposit

You would also need to fund your account. Ask your bank what the minimum is to open the account. In addition to the minimum to open, watch out for ongoing minimum balance requirements, which can result in monthly fees.

To make your initial deposit, you can bring cash in-person, write a cheque to the account, fund it with a debit card, or link a different bank account for electronic transfers between banks.

Business accounts

To open an account for a business, you would need additional documents because of the entity’s ownership. For example, you may need documents related to the formation of your business (articles of incorporation, for example) and a corporate resolution authorising the new bank account. Note that banks often have different fee structures for banks, so you might need to shop around for an inexpensive business account.

Up and running

Once your account is open, make sure things to go as smoothly as possible for you:

Set up text or email alerts to let you know when your account balance is running low or large withdrawals hit your account.

Monitor your account regularly. Reporting errors and fraud quickly will help you take full advantage of consumer protection laws.

Set up online bill pay so that you can pay bills on time (and efficiently).

Set up direct deposit from your employer so you don’t need to wait for paycheques and get them to the bank.
