The pictures shared on Facebook shows two Nigerian families in Akwa Ibom State have decided to create a union bond with their children, the boy(12years old) and the girl(10years old) with the sole aim of solidifying their friendship and make the children remain as life partner.
Everything was completely lively at the wedding ceremony with bridesmaids and groomsmen lavishly celebrated by the two families. The union was done to prevent the children from what their parents interpret as the social media's bad influence.
The parents of the children said they can't bear to see their children getting separated through the influence of social media and different environmental pressures. The marriage register was also registered by the two children.
Some people disagreed claiming the pictures were taken during a school extra-curriculum event which made the children look like they were real couple.
Though child marriage isn't endorsed in some parts of the country especially the Southern part but popular in the North, although there are still ongoing ruckus on the issue.
