In the 4th edition of the programme, Ayade's 4 Years In Retrospect , We interacted with the Director General of Due Process And Price Intelligence Bureau, Barr. Alphonsus Ogar Eba, who paid glowing tributes to the former Governor of Cross River State, Senator Liyel Imoke, who established the bureau upon which Governor Ayade has improved.
He noted that Governor Ayade's greatest achievement in the bureau is the subjection of his Humongous powers to be guided by the public procurement law.
Barr. Alphonsus Eba also noted that his greatest exposure as Director General of the bureau was the fact that His Excellency gave him total powers to operate the public procurement law in Cross River State that exposed him to global best practice beyond his ordinary understanding of law.
His greatest challenge, according him would have been compelling people to comply with the public procurement law but it was made easy for him by the pre- orientation accorded him by the Director of Administration when he assumed office as Director General in the bureau. Barr. Eba, said discipline, hardwork, honesty, commitment, dedication and sincerity has been the hallmark of what they have established in the Department of Due Process and Price Intelligence Bureau and that is his practical legacies.
With the co-operation of His Excellency and the World Bank, he trained and increased capacity, built serious synergy amongst all MDAs in the procurement Cadre that has been domesticated in Cross River State. Watch Out For The Department Of Due Process And Price Intelligence Bureau In The Days Ahead.
