NIGERIAN ASSOCIATION OF SOCIAL WORKS SEEK FOR COLLABORATION WITH CHAIRMAN BIASE MGT COMMITTEE ON SOCIAL WORKS AND PROJECT DEVELOPMENT.



The National Association of Social Works, University of Calabar calls for partnership to harness social welfare in Cross River State.

Professor T.A Ojua; Head of Department of Social Works Dept in the University of Calabar topnotch the courtesy visit conversation with Hon. Helyn Isamoh; former SA Gender and Development to the Governor Now Chairman; Biase Security Com’ttee.
Prof. T.A. Ojua was accompanied by the leadership of his Executive, National Association of Social works comprising of Academia's, Doctorate and Professional social workers on Wednesday 27th March 2019.

Prof. T. A Ojua Congratulated the former Gender Boss on her new elevation to Chairman, he expressed it as an appointment well deserved as she did so well piloting the affairs of the Gender Dept in the State, that Helen Isamoh was one of their best product in the Dept that the university had produced. He further stressed his keen interest on social works thus to improvise the citizens of Cross River state standard of living also, He strongly emphasize on the need to have an office settlement in CR State, Internship slots for undergraduates & graduates to explore, Correctional centres, A functional rehabilitational centre in CR State to enable the social welfare develop in the state, he highlighted that the above mentioned prayers should  be address to the Governor through the office of the former SA on Gender Development, Mrs. Helyn Agan so as to keep the welfare package of the state more functional and supportive to the society.

He further, unleash on his executive proposed visit to IGP Camp, Motherless Babies, Skolobo Camp and Orphanages to enable them exercise their services on social welfare and its development of the less privilege to be equal in the society.

Prof. Ojua, unfold his path to accomplish his core objectives on social work in the state via local government, ward council collaboration and partnership. He further, appeal to the former Gender Boss to continue in togetherness and call for support to achieve this core purpose on social works.

Chairman of Biase Mgt Committee, Helen Isamoh  unleashed her personage being as a refined graduate from the department of social works and an ambassordor of the University at large applaud her distinguished mentors and lecturers with encomium and a sincere joy of welcome for having the state interest at heart thus enthusiastic about the social welfare of crossriverians.

Hon. Helyn being known for her outstanding  & workaholic efforts through organizing of gender-based, workshops and  trainings for gender desks officers across state Mda’s, sensitization on gender based violence campaigns against women, girls, youths, etc, amongst others assured the executive and representatives of the National Association of Social Work of her unending support.

She further, promised meeting with distinguished executives in the state to enhance the social welfare of the citizens as it's a no news that the skolobo have cause a huge menace in our society today so therefore there was need to curb this challenges and embrace save security to strives in the state. Stressing that the social works have a vital role to play.

Hon. Helyn concluded that, Through her good office as the chairman in Biase she'll continue to unite with the association and further incorporate other local government security council committee to partner with the association to impact on the people via the National Association of Social Works headed by Prof. T. A. Ojua.
