Hon. Regina Anyogor - Doing Igede Nation Proud

The notion that women's education ends in the kitchen no longer holds water, the world over as notable women across the globe, have, by their prowess, proved otherwise.
In Igede nation, especially, in Yala, Cross River State, the political icon - Hon. Regina Anyogor has proven beyond reasonable doubt that 'what men can do, women can do it better'. It is a fact that Igede, due to its disadvantaged location, non proximity among the settlements and relatively small population in Yala ( Igede has about 15 polling units in Yala - 5 in Igede-Edii, 8 in Gabu and 2 at Itekpa), has been a marginalized entity.
Yet, the iron lady, Hon. Regina Anyogor has carved a niche for herself as she has been able to, against all odds, broken the jinx of the political obscurity that had bedevilled the Igede people over the years, by clinching the post of a State House Representative for the second time.
Now, as it stands, she could be adjudged the foremost political actor in the Igede part of Yala and a voice to reckon with. She needs not be reminded that, even though natural forces have kept us apart as a nation and that we have found ourselves in different political divides, the blood of brotherhood still runs in our veins. The Igede-Edii people recognizes you as a force to reckon with politically.
We felicitate with you as you made the second journey to the hollow chamber to relay our message of despondency to the government and bring back hope to our suffering masses.
We are ever ready to join forces with you and other brothers and sisters of ours who are ready to take up the cross of servitude by representing the people's voice. We are very happy to have you because you are not just a leader, but also a mother who gives detailed attention to the yearnings of her babies. We see you as the Margaret Thatcher of Igede nation.
Igede woman epitomizes virtue, devotion, patience, hospitality and hardwork. This is exactly what you symbolize. We hope to tap, in no small measure from these combinations.
In this regard, I urge you to identify with the rest of your people in Igede-Edii and Itekpa, who are ever ready for your warm arms of embrace and to give you the blessings to soar higher like an eagle.
The young women from different quarters who have been idolizing you, are waiting for a day when they will encounter you so that you can mentor them to become better persons like you.
We remain a united, unbreakable force that no weapon can break our bond.
