Reciprocating good gesture and appreciating people who have done well in the society is one admirable norm of a typical African society.
This is a very common phenomenon among the Yoruba people. When you do something for a Yoruba person, he/she will continue to appreciate importunately. It is an act of humility and it triggers continuous favour.
In appreciation and as a way of reciprocating the massive support that came from PDP supporters and good people of Ijiraga Ward, Hon. Asegem Emmanuel, the Peace Ambassador of Ukelle and Member, Cross River State Anti Deforestation Task Force, Governor's Office, Calabar, has decided to give back to PDP family, as he celebrates Governor Ayade's victory.
In his celebration mood, he appreciates the massive support of Ijiraga women by presenting bags of salts and maggi to them. To him, nothing is too small to share with the people we hobnob with. Life is meaningless, when we live like hermits, without giving and taking. The essence of political leadership is to deliver the message of the people to the government and bring back feedback.
"It is high time we began to realize that we need people around us to succeed politically", he said. "A politician does not have more than a single vote, when we boast of winning, we count on your support. You are our strength", he added, emphasizing that hit-and-run era in politics is an outdated approach and that is why the mightiest are falling, politically.
