Yala Urban Development Project under the aegis of Impact World Foundation for Youth development, tag #Project1000 - a project aimed at rebuilding, re-strategizing and putting together a blueprint for effective development of yala Local Government Area of Cross River State.

The program was attended by dignitaries, keynote speakers and members of the think-tank of the group behind the idea of the #project1000. The dignitaries included Distinguished Senator Rose Oko P. Hd ably represented by her Lawyer Barr Joseph Ogar and her P. A political Barr Alex, the Cross River State DG Due Process, Barr. Eba, Barr. Godwin Offiono, AMAC supervisory councilor for health Hon Bravo, Dr. Raphael Ogar of the UN Peace Foundation, Mr  SimonPeter Ogar, Mr Ogar Emmanuel,  Augustine Ekpo Ofana among others. The eagles voice blog Adoga Michael Oyi was live to capture the happenings at the event.

Prince George Ogonyi, management consultant and business adviser, who is also aspiring to represent Yala 1state constituency at the Cross River State House of Assembly in the forthcoming 2019 elections, advised the initiators of project1000 to be focused in order to actualize the objective of  the project. He said for the project to be successful, everyone should be carried along in all the 14 wards - the Ugelle, Yala, Yache and Gabu speaking, non-indigenes and people of other languages in the Local Government Area. He emphasized that all groups were critical to the unity and development of the community.

He advised further that going into politics, people should aim to impact the society to be recognized and not the other way round. Also, an agenda from an intellectual group of this kind will set the pace for meaningful development of the Local Government Area.

Prince George Ogonyi advised that, project1000 should identify at least a project in every ward and come up with a blueprint of our natural resources and other developmental strategies for either the government, companies or individual intervention as the case may be. Such a blueprint could create easy access to leaders of the Local Government.

In addition, Prince Ogonyi highlighted the following points:

I.. To shun procrastination, as procrastination is the greatest killer of dreams.

II.. That action, not talk, should be the focus -members should talk less and work more.

III.. Independence should be the watch word if the project must succeed. No relying solely on politicians for the achievement of  project1000, else the initiative may be hijacked and the purpose not achieved.

IV..  Appreciate past achievements. Past achievement by former leaders, incumbent leaders and everyone should be appreciated, for the continuous growth of Yala.

Unless all the items above are given keen attention, efforts would be wasted, he stated.

He volunteered to be an active member of the project, whether he wins election or not, in his words, "When I become a member of the House of Assembly, a reasonable percentage of my salary will be donated to the Impact World Foundation for Youth development, directly from the bank -  to further aid the foundation to continue her humanitarian activities because I believe in it".

As a management consultant and business adviser, he offereded to speak to the Youth in the next meeting on  the impact of entrepreneurial development and youth creativeness as a means to community Co-existence.

He concluded by thanking all participants, Impact World Foundation team, members of the think-tank and all Yala sons and daughters, who have decided to put Yala first. He prayed that God Almighty will guide everyone towards the actualization of the dream.
