...says Ifere’s comment did not reflect the position of the future leader
March 25,2020
The Special Assistant on media and Publicity to the Cross River State Director General of due process and price intelligence Bureau, Egbara Emmanuel Ikaba has said that the allegation by Ifere Paul, that his boss Hon.Barrister Alphonsus Ogar Eba sponsored some thugs to attack Venatius Ikem over state PDP Chairmanship position was wrong.
Egbara said Ifere’s comment did not reflect the position of the future leader he was supposed to be.Ifere had claimed that Eba hired People to attack Vena , “We really do not know why Ifere, chose to speak like he did, especially with such hostility, contempt and lies against Hon.Barrister Alphonsus Ogar Eba, however, one thing is clear: In his anger and apparent bile-filled disposition,Ifere, an otherwise astute and erudite critics, obviously dropped the ball ball in a wrong hand.
“He actually came off the social media sounding like a sulking skunk, to whom logic or reason meant nothing. It didn’t matter to him that, as a well-respected youth of the society, he shouldn’t make such weighty claims against Hon.Barrister Alphonsus Ogar Eba if he was only guessing, like we We perceived.
“Apparently seized by some inexplicable resentment,Ifere held on to the lie currently being pushed by few mischief-makers to the effect that Eba sponsored thugs to attack Vena,Unfortunately, Ifere Paul jumped into this convenient bandwagon of grovellers without first thinking of the burden of substantiating his claim.
"The scene created at transcorp by vena was purely an assault on Mrs Amina Arong which her PA resisted.
"Alphonsus Ogar Eba can never reduce himself to Venatius ikem's eccentricism.
“It is true that Eba, who is currently the Cross River State Director General of due process and price intelligence Bureau and the incoming Cross River State PDP chairman, is well loved and respected by his people.
“Rather than cast aspersions and throw shades because of personal interest, what is expected of Ifere is to seek to interrogate whatever went wrong.,” the statement read.
