Jet Li’s real name at birth is Li Lianjie but he is widely known across the globe as jet Li. He is one of the most famous Chinese actors in the world. Aside from acting he is also a filmmaker, producer, director, martial artist, entrepreneur, philanthropist, investor, and On-air personality.
Jet Li competed in the Chinese Wushu Championship against adults at a really young age and won 15 gold medals and one silver. Jet Li won his first national championship for the Beijing Wushu Team after three years of training with Wu Bin. In 1974, Li toured the USA and gave President Richard M. Nixon a martial arts exhibition. That year he would become the National Wushu AllAround Champion and retained the title for five consecutive years.
He has been involved in many movies ranging fearless, mulan, expendables,unleashed, war, forbidden kingdom,fist of the ledgend etc. Most of these movies made him outstanding in several years and he won several awards like , Favorite male Action Hero, Favorite Male Butt Kicker, Best fight, Favorite Male Movie Star etc.
No doubt li has been starred in several death hoax movie scenes that have spurned several rumors and news of death among his fans, but it will interest you to know that as on November 30th, 2019, the prolific actor Jet Li is very much alive and well. Although he suffered an illness.
Indeed Jet li will not be forgotten easily, he has imparted the World by featuring in many mind blowing movies. Though aged now, but his various works still speaks for him.
