Buhari , Femi Fani-Kayode , Nyesom Wike, Presidential Election Tribunal
Says he would rather be ‘dead in a ditch’ than congratulating Buhari.
Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has said that anyone who chooses to congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari over his victory in the presidential election tribunal is free to do so either as a public or private citizen.
iDONSABI reports that Wike congratulated the president after the ruling affirmed his reelection against the suit challenging his return by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
The governor stated that he would prefer to congratulate Buhari openly than behaving like some PDP governors who go to see him the night.
Fani-Kayode has been a constant critic of Buhari and his administration.
“Whether you are a councillor, LGA Chairman, Governor or private citizen, anyone that chooses to congratulate Buhari is free to do so. Speaking for myself, I would rather be “dead in a ditch” (apologies to @BorisJohnson
) than congratulate a man that rigged his way to power!,” he said via his Twiter page.
