"Local Government Administration can be conceptualize as a multi-structural, functional and institutional machinery of the State put in place by an act of parliament and encumber  with the responsibility to pilot the affairs of the government at the grassroots" (Godsman 2019).

It is aimed at bringing the government closer to the people. Thus, the role of local government to Community Development can not be over emphasized.

Local Government Administration plays key roles to Community Development and accelerate Economic growth in collaboration with other tiers of Government if Man by visionary and prismatic Leaders.

However, it is quite unfortunate that an assessment of Yala Local Government Area of  Cross River State since creation indicates a glaring evidence of gross inadequacies in basic social amenities/services, high rate of poverty, social unrest amongst other challenges. And they is no debating the fact that leadership holds the key to rewriting these social wrongs.

It is on this note that the crave for a New Yala of our dreams is a necessity and we must get it right this time as we approach another Local government elections in Cross River State.
