The Sunny Omagu Liberation Train has debunk reports making the rounds on social media to the effect that its candidate for Yala Local Government Area Chairmanship seat, Amb. Sunny Omagu Ogar has been dropped by the Yala Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Stakeholders meeting in Calabar the Cross River State capital, insisting he is very much still in the race.
This was contained in a statement signed by the media head of the campaign train, Mr Ogar Wodah and made available to the media for wide publicity.
He urged all Sunny Omagu Ogar supporters and the general public to disregard what he termed, falsehood and fabricated story making waves in the media purporting that Sunny Omagu Ogar is no longer in the Chairmanship race for Yala Local Government Area.
According to him, the story is false and fabricated and a figment of the feverish imagination of the opponents and detractors of Sunny Omagu Ogar's growing popularity.
He said, "Sunny Omagu Ogar remains a strong contestant in the chairmanship election and asked all PDP faithful and Supporters to treat it with the contempt it deserves."
The statement reads, "We wish to inform the general public as well as all members, supporters and sympathizers of Team Sunny Omagu and the PDP,, in particular, that our Aspirant for Yala Chairmanship Race ,Sunny Omagu Ogar, remains a contestant in the chairmanship election to be held in February next year.
"The falsehoods and fabrications, carried in the fake news churned out by those from who do not want a fair stakeholders decision, will come to naught. The machinations of those who are patently running scared of Sunny Omagu Ogar and, consequently, seeking to distort the spirit of our internal democracy, will fail.
"As sure as darkness gives way to daylight and day follows night, the will of God will prevail in this election. And, if it pleases Him, Sunny Omagu Ogar will win.
