The Cross River State Governor, Prof Ben Ayade has reassured Cross Riverians that, he will do everything humanly possible in making sure the bill for an act for the establishment of Federal University of Technology, Ogoja is assented to by Mr president, H.E President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, the governor told Hon Jarigbe Agom the sponsor of the bill.
Prof Ben Ayade speaking in Calabar, the Cross River State Capital rekindled the hope of his citizens in making sure the Federal University comes to be. The governor as an academia is not totally oblivious of the fact that, the University if established will add value not only to the education of the state, but will get thousands of Cross Riverians engaged.

According to the Governor, "The issue of unemployment will become a thing of the past if the Federal University of Technology, Ogoja is established".
The Governor added that having a federal University Of Technology, will complement the work of the state's varsity in many ways and provide adequate manpower for smooth running of the numerous industries that have been established and more to come under his administration.
The bill for an act for the establishment of the Federal University of Technology, ogoja, was sponsored by the member Representing Ogoja/Yala federal constituency Rt. Hon Jarigbe Agom. The bill has crossed all legislative works and is currently on the table of Mr president for assent.
