On Tuesday night, Brazil booked their spot in the Copa America final beating Argentina 2-0.
Will Leo Messi ever win a major international honour with his national team? That’s now looking increasingly unlikely.
Man City striker Gabriel Jesus fired Brazil into the lead in the 19th minute. Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino bagged the killer second in the 71st.
It’s Brazil vs Peru in the final
Peru will face Brazil in the final of the 2019 Copa America.
Peru booked their spot in the showpiece after a 3-0 win against Chile.
Goals from Edison Flores, Yoshimar Yotun and Jose Paolo Guerrero earned Nobby Solano’s side a chance to win the Copa America.
It’s been confirmed that Chelsea midfielder Willian will miss the Copa America final against Peru on Sunday night.
Sadly for Willian, the Chelsea star is sidelined with a thigh injury.
Willian replaced Everton at the interval, however the Chelsea star suffered a knock in the second half.
That injury came about after Willian tried to block a cross from Angel di Maria.
To recap, Willian was only drafted into Tite’s Brazil squad after Neymar withdrew through injury before the competition got underway.
The good news for Chelsea is that Willian’s injury isn’t believed to be too serious.
Brazil’s other injury concerns vs Peru
Man City midfielder Fernandinho was forced out of the Argentina game through injury.
However, Globo believe that Fernandinho is available for the Peru final.
In addition, left-back Felipe Luis is also set to be fit for the showpiece this weekend.
