The Nigerian Red Sea

Not until last Sunday that was father's day for Christians, I never knew that Prophet Elijah also parted water for people to pass. My knowledge of how people either walked on water or parted water was that of Moses who in the old Testament of the Bible,  miraculously divided the red sea for the Children of Israel to walk through and Jesus who walked on water and commanded Peter his disciple to do same.

With these knew knowledge, i am now aware that, when it comes to Biblical water miracle, Jesus walked on water, Moses divided the red sea and Elijah parted the water.  Do you have any other one to tell me? I want to learn. These were great miracles of old to show that God is a great God.

The Bible records have shown that these miracles did not happen at regular intervals, it only happened at when there was need for God to show his mercies and supernatural power for faith building amongst the people of those days.

While water miracle, that is, either walking on water or parting the water, was not a daily occurrence in the Bible days, it has become a daily thing in Nigeria. In Nigeria, most communities have their red seas where they divide and walk daily, we have our waters where we part and walk daily. What is different from the Biblical miracle of walking on water or parting water for people to pass, and that of Nigeria, is that, in the Bible, prayers were sometimes offered before such miracles will take place, but in our own case in Nigeria, we no longer pray before we do it for the wisdom to walk or part water has become common sense to us.

If you want to see these miraculous works of God in Nigeria, go to Lagos or Bayelsa, people no longer just walk or part water, they now live on top of water, what a miracle. In Lagos, most residents  have mastered skills in walking and parting water daily as they go out and come in as part of their daily activities. If you tell them about walking on water as a miracle, you may be looked at, as coming from the moon.

In the abundance of resources where bridges can be built, drainages and roads constructed, the Ukwa Ibom-Efik Eburutu people in Odukpani Local Government Area of Cross River State; residents in most part of Lagos, Bayelsa, Aba in Abia State, and so many places in Nigeria have continued to rely on the mercies of God's miracle of either walking on water or parting water daily before they can go out and come in.

Who will help them stop these miracle and let them rest? What they just need are bridges, drainages and good roads and Nigeria has the money to do just that.

Have you been walking on water? mention your area.
