Press Release! Prof Ivara Esu Of Cross River State, To Embark On Project Inspection/Commissioning In The State.

Cross River State Deputy Governor Prof Ivara Esu.

His Excellency, Prof. Ivara Ejemot Esu, OFR, Deputy Governor of Cross River State will from Wednesday May 15, 2019 commence a statewide inspection/commissioning of recently executed projects tagged “Quick Wins” embarked upon by all Local Government Councils in the State.

The purpose of the inspection/commissioning is to enable Government assess the level of completion as well as ensure value for money in all the projects. For the avoidance of doubt, such projects include rural water supply (boreholes), rural roads and electricity including solar lighting of selected rural communities.

His Excellency would also inspect on-going State projects to ensure their faithful implementation.

 The Deputy Governor will be accompanied on the appraisal tour by the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon. John Ulafor, the Auditor-General for Local Government, Mrs. Franca Inok and the Heads of Local Government Administration (HOLGAs) of Calabar Municipality and Calabar South Local Governments, Pastor Augustine Ngaji and Rev. (Mrs.) Christiana Elemi respectively.
Itinerary for the visit is scheduled as follows:-
√ Wednesday, May 15, 2019: Calabar Municipality, Calabar South and Odukpani Local Government Areas.
√ Thursday, May 16, 2019: Bakassi and Akpabuyo.
√ Friday, May 17, 2019: Akamkpa and Biase.
√ Monday, May 20, 2019: Yakurr, Abi and Obubra.
√ Tuesday, May 21, 2019: Ikom and Etung.
√ Wednesday, May 22, 2019: Boki and Yala.
√ Thursday, May 23, 2019: Ogoja and Bekwarra.
√ Friday, May 24, 2019: Obudu and Obanliku.

Please note that Heads of Local Government Administration (HOLGAs) are expected to be in the designated areas to receive the Deputy Governor and his entourage and guide them to project sites for inspection/commissioning.
