Bad news for Liverpool ahead of UEFA Champions League final against Tottenham

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool team have received some bad news ahead of their UEFA Champions League final as their opponent Tottenham Hotspur have announced reports concerning their key players for the encounter, who will cause lots of problems for the Reds.

Tottenham Hotspur top goalscorer Harry Kane picked up an injury and was ruled out of the remaining Premier League matches, but the striker has now returned to training and is in line to play in the Champions League final against Liverpool.

Prior to the semifinal clash with Dutch side, Ajax Amstaderm, Harry Kane has been posting pictures of himself doing some light training, but now the England national team captain has returned to full training, along with two defenders.

Tottenham training as trio step up bid to be fit in time for Champions League final
Harry Kane, Jan Vertonghen and Davinson Sanchez have stepped up their bids for full fitness ahead of next Saturday’s Champions League final. The key Tottenham trio are all on the way back from injury and desperate to play a part in Madrid against Liverpool.

Kane has been out of action since suffering an ankle injury against Manchester City in the first leg of the quarter-final. But the England international is back running and taking part in training sessions again and even took time out to chat with David Beckham who dropped in.

The Spurs Twitter account posted a picture of the striker jogging alongside Vertonghen and Sanchez on Wednesday afternoon. The Belgian central defender has also been nursing an ankle injury but is expected to have recovered for next weekend’s massive clash whilst Sanchez has been rehabilitating a thigh issue.

Though both defenders have been important players for the club this season, it is Kane who Spurs fans will be desperate to see fit and firing. The sidelined 25-year-old inspired his side at half time in the dressing room prior to their turnaround against Ajax and he was positive about his prognosis in the aftermath of that win.

“Hopefully, rehab is going well. I started straight line running this week. That’s why I ran over there because it was straight and I didn’t cut any corners. So far so good and if it keep going like this then it’s positive and I’d hope to be fit,” he told BT Sport.
