With my Contacts and exposure both nationally and internationally, I intend to do the following and stop the mediocrity in the state called industrialization:
1. Stop the EIA approvals for the Superhighway and safe our forest.
2. Stop the EIA for the Bakassi Deep Sea Port, a project not possible for a state like Cross River.
3. Close down the Rice City and sell the machines to states who know what Rice Seeds and Seedling production mean. For there can not be a market for such craziness in Cross River.
4. Relocate the Garment Factory to Aba in Abia state for better patronage and productivity.
5. The 21 Mega watt Power Plant at parliamentary extension will be too expensive for a state like Cross River to operate and maintain giving the cost. I therefore, intend to sell it out to PHCN and free us the stress.
6. The Calabar Noodles and Poultry factories at the Industrial Park are just another ideas that never took the market survey into consideration, as competitors will do everything to frustrate the ventures. So there is absolutely no need for these factories in the first place. I will therefore, stop their operations and sell out the factories to those who can buy.
7. The Calabar Pharmaceutical Factory is another big doom project embarked on that need my rescue mission to quickly stamp down and stop before we collapse totally. Reason is, we cannot sustain the factory. I will not focus on all these factory, factory stuff.
8. The Banana Farm and processing factory in Odupani is another denial of the farming heritage of the Etung, Ikom, and Boki people who grow bananna and have no market to sell. I will rather build a market than waste government money on Bananna processing factory.
9. As long as we stop the EIA for the Deep Sea Port, the Piles factory in Akamkpa will have no use for the state. I intend to sell it out to a private individual to produce electric poles and pay us tax.
10. I intend also to close down the Toothpick factory in Yakurr for lack of sustainability apparatus.
11. The Ikom Cocoa processing and Ogoja Rice Factories have no people participatory factors. How many of our Cocoa farmers and Rice farmers understand the direction of these factories. I will close them down when am governor.
12. The 147Km dual carriage road from Mfom to Ranch is a waste of Government resources, these areas have no traffic to merit such huge road projects.
My Rescue Mission when I become governor, therefore, is to free Cross River from all these industrialization carnival.
"Spirit of Enterprise must be off rooted".
