Aminu Shagari, a son of the first executive president of Nigeria, Alhaji Sheu Shagari who died recently has on Saturday attacked the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari for leaving no comment in the family's condolence register after writing his name and date during his visit.
Eyewitnessreporters gathered that Aminu who is a lawmaker in the House of Representatives expressed this while addressing newsmen, adding that he was highly disappointed in the President.
He said, "when he came, we expected to hear something from him like some words of comfort. But we didn’t hear such because he didn’t say anything. We gave him the condolence register.
"He only signed and put the date. Personally, I was very disappointed with that. I expected that at least, as Muslim, he would write, “May Allah forgive him and may Allah forgive us when our time comes.
"That makes me extremely disappointed in him."
Alhaji Shehu Shagari died recently at the age of 93.
