The Senior Special Assistant on mobilization and enlightenment to the Cross River State Governor, Chief Mrs. Angela Ogeyi Odey, yesterday, said the Cross River State All Progressives (APC) is a political liability.
Chief Mrs. Angela stated this while flagging off the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, door to door enlightenment campaign in Calabar .
She said in as much as She would not underrate any political party, APC was already a still birth in Cross River State.
She said: “The election is not going to be conducted by PDP rather the election would be conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
“I don’t underrate my own opposition or those we are going to contest against because this election is between us and the so-called APC which I believe that between today and March you are going to see how we are going to bury that so-called still born baby that has no leg, no eyes and no sense in Cross River.
“It’s just a vegetable and therefore it is political liability to the opposition and the party is not practicable in Cross River State ”.
She assured Cross riverians that PDP administration would continue to ensure the development of the State.
The opposition are set to bring a lot of confusion that is why I said we must come together.
She assured youths and women that if PDP is voted into power in 2019 the government would continue to build agro-allied industries and embark on youth support programmes in all the area councils.
“Cross River State is where you find different ethnic groups living happily. And we are happy that confident persons are coming to represent us,” She said.
