MR LEO INYAMBE - A PROACTIVE LEADER

By Kadiri Abraham Etsegbe - Ukelle Youth Forum
Thursday - December 13, 2018
The saying that leaders are born, rather being made, has become crystal clear to Ukelle people and Cross North, as their son Mr. Leo Inyambe clinch the position of SSA, North.
This is following the decentralization of the Office of the State Security Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State, by the incumbent Governor, Senator Professor Ben Ayade.
No sooner than Mr. Leo was appointed that he began to fashion out strategies of restoring peace in the restive Ukelle area of Yala.
He started by visiting the war-torn Ogba in South Ukelle, one of the villages whose river was poisoned by the Nkalike and Achafor people of Ebonyi State. The same day, he extended the visit to three clan heads in Ukelle land to sue for peace.
The following day, the Izzi warlords struck Ogba village and shot Madam Grace who was working in a rice farm, straight in the head. The bullet pierced from one side of her head and came out through the other. To the people of Ukelle, it was a hopeless situation.
Nevertheless, in a swift response, Mr. Leo took the woman for first aid in a nearby hospital and later took her to University Teaching Hospital Calabar were she was referred to for a major operation
The operation which took place yesterday, December 12, 2018; it was very successful and Ukelle land is filled with jubilation.
We owe Mr. Leo a very big appreciation for his sustained effort towards ensuring a lasting peace and security in Cross River North and commend the Digital Governor for his laudable innovation of decentralizing the office of Security Adviser.
The effort of the Governor and visionary leadership drive of Mr. Leo Inyambe have started paying off.
We, the good people of Ukelle owe His Excellency, Governor Ben Ayade and Mr. Leo much more than we can pay. We pray that the good Lord will bless them and keep them to succeed in all their endeavors.
