The executive Governor of Cross River State Prof Ben Ayade joins the Chief of Army Staff Gen. T. Y Buratai represented by Maj. General Emmanuel Kabuk of GOC 82 Division Nigerian Army for the flag off of "Operation Crocodile Smile 3" in Bakassi Local Government Area of Cross River State.
Ayade speaking at the occasion admonish residence of Cross River State to be peaceful in all their dealings as peace is the instrument for development.
He stated that, peaceful coexistence among people may easily attracts investments to the State because no investor would like to invest in a crisis ridden state.
Governor Ayade told the military to be proactive in their duties. He told them to be friendly and pragmatic with the people of the region and not to make the state inhabitable for the people. They should be a high level of intelligence as they go about their duties, Ayade said.
He further admonished the politicians against instigating violence in the state as the 2019 general elections is fast approaching.
The Governor concluded by thanking President Buhari and the Chief of Army Staff Gen. Buratai for their timely approach in cubbing criminality in Cross River State and environs.
