A senatorial aspirant of the People Democratic party (PDP) in Northern senatorial district of Cross river state, Chief Jude Ikaba Ngaji at the weekend restated his commitment to Human Capital Development as the basis for transforming the Northern senatorial district.
Addressing supporters and stakeholders at a reception across the 18 Local Governments of Cross river State , Chief Ngaji said, development of the people will be his cardinal objective saying, “Without a quality focus on Human Capital Development, we cannot move forward in the comity of nations.”
Ngaji, who acknowledged the good governance being executed by the present administration in the state said he would move the Northern Senatorial district higher on the ladder of development.
He said, “Yes, I continue to insist that our Governor, His Excellency, Senator Benedict Ayade , is the best, my determination is to move the Northern senatorial district beyond where it is presently to compliment the efforts of our Governor.
“Our Human Capital Development goals centre around free and compulsory education along with payment of WAEC fees and quality Primary Healthcare Centres in each of the Wards of Northern senatorial district with adequate medical staff and equipment for each and these effort is to compliment the foundation laid by our governor in various ministries.
“Of course, Economic Development is our focus too. We’ll ensure quality skills acquisition among our youths to make them employable and self-employed too. Our women will have access to micro-credit for their businesses, while farmers will smile because we’ll focus on rural roads and provide potable water in their communities.”
Cross river North deserves to produce a better hand in 2019, and I have the passion and rich experience that none of the aspirants in all the political parties can match.”
The event was graced by the executive members of Vanguard squad from all the Wards of Northern senatorial district . Their counterparts from the 18 local governments were also in attendance.
I pray it's not just a political manifesto
