Egbara Emmanuel Ikaba a social media Activist and the Special Assistant on media and Publicity to the Cross river state Director General for due process and price intelligence bureau, speaking to the eagles voice blog Adoga yesterday, described His boss Hon.Barrister Alphonsus Ogar Eba
as one rare breed of a pathfinder.
Egbara saluted Eba on the occasion of his birthday.
The Aide specifically said history has already recorded his boss“as having found ways, where there were none and created opportunities for humanity, where many did not see any”.
Egbara recognised Eba’s immense contributions to the political and economic growth of Yala and Cross river.
He said Yala began to emerge as a truly habitable local government after what he described as “Eba’s strategic-development vision”, adding that “the success story of Yala has rubbed off on the Northern Cross river and Cross river”.
Egbara said Eba’s capacity for talent hunt and leadership recruitment were unparalleled.
According to him, DG's ability to spot the best hands for crucial assignments have elevated him to that pedestal of rare leader of men.
“Today, we are celebrating a giant pathfinder; one whose contributions to Cross river political and economic growth have provided development scholars serious models for academic studies.
“This is one Cross river politician, whose politics is known to have impacted heavily on humanity. From Yala, where God used him for the emergence of a new vision, to Cross river as a whole and indeed,Nigeria, where his influence continues to be felt, my boss manifests in our lives in all ramifications,” Egbara said.
Egbara prayed for longer life for his boss just as he expressed the wish that his visions of a greater Yala and the people of Cross river would continue to blossom.
Egbara said his boss is a quintessential, larger than life politician, with passion for democratic ideals and commitment to all round development.
He noted that the DG is a man of many parts, a bridge-builder, philanthropist, master strategist and patriot, who in many ways, has raised the standard of civilisation and human dignity.
Egbara said Yala nation owes Eba a huge gratitude for his determination, consistency, doggedness, vision and fearless disposition in the strengthening and support of good governance.
Egbara noted that Eba, “who is acknowledged by friends and foe, far and near, as a rounded politician, pathfinder, investor, generous and people person, through his extraordinarily large heart and unusual magnanimity of character, raised countless men from miry clay, produced several remarkabled youths and business leaders”.
The statement noted that Eba’s warm disposition, visionary leadership and cares for the oppressed and the under-privileged had endeared him to all and sundry.
Egbara advised his boss to remain focus in the days and years ahead at ensuring that good governance, which he fought for, “is not left to drift or suffer any form of setback”.
Wishing him many more years in good health, Egbara added that Eba’s many legacies and contributions to the society and wealth creation were eloquent testimonies of his great personality as a distinguished Cross riverian.
