Buhari can order army to produce his certificates if they exist – Atiku

May 2, 2019

The Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar , have faulted President Muhammadu Buhari for saying his academic certificates are with the Nigerian Army.

Replying to Buhari ’s response to their petition filed before the Election Petitions Tribunal, they said if it was true that the certificates existed , Buhari as the Commander -in-Chief of the Armed Forces could order the army to produce them.

Atiku said he attached his academic certificates to the Form CF001 he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission.

In a joint petition filed on March 18 , the former Vice-President and his party urged the tribunal to declare them the authentic winner of the February 23 presidential election , insisting Buhari did not possess the educational qualifications he claimed to have in his INEC Form CF 001.

They said in the reply filed on April 15 by their legal team , led by Dr Livy Uzoukwu (SAN ) , that having not been able to attach his academic certificates to INEC Form CF 001, Buhari had falsely claimed that his certificates were in the custody of the Nigerian Army.

The joint reply filed by Atiku and the PDP read in part , “ In further response to paragraph 381( iv) of the 2nd respondent ’ s reply , aver that the petitioners have no knowledge of any certificates or alleged qualifications issued to the 2nd respondent ( Buhari ), but contend that 2 nd respondent falsely represented that his certificates are in the custody of the Nigerian Army when the 2 nd respondent by his own admission is the Commander -in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria .

“ In further response to paragraph 381( iv) of the 2nd respondent ’ s reply , the petitioners aver that the 2nd respondent as Commander -in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria could easily order the Army Secretary to produce the certificates allegedly submitted if they actually exist.

“ Contrary to paragraph 381(i-iv ) of the 2 nd respondent ’ s reply , the petitioners aver that the 2 nd respondent does not possess the educational qualification he claimed to have in his INEC Form CF001 submitted to the 1st respondent ( INEC ) having not been attached as required. ”

The petitioners also stated that “ the purported training and courses” , which Buhari claimed placed him “head and shoulders above ” Atiku regarding educational qualifications to contest the presidential election , “did not culminate in the issuance of any certificates he claimed in his INEC Form CF 001”.

They also described Buhari ’ s claim of being head and shoulders above Atiku as “ erroneous ”.

Responding to Buhari ’ s allegation that Atiku didn’ t have the statutory educational qualifications to contest the polls , the petitioners stated that the ex -VP attached his educational qualifications to his Form CF001 submitted to INEC .

Insisting Atiku was qualified to contest election for the office , the petitioners stated that Buhari was unable to present any certificates because he did not possess any “ as he falsely claimed ”.

They stated, “In reply to paragraph 383 of the 2nd respondent ’ s reply , the petitioners aver that the 1st petitioner (Atiku ) is eminently qualified to contest election to the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria , and had indeed attached evidence of his educational qualifications to his INEC Form CF 001 submitted to the 1st respondent , unlike the 2nd respondent ( Buhari ) who did not attach evidence of the qualifications he claimed in his INEC Form CF 001 because he does not possess them as he falsely claimed .”

INEC , Buhari , and the All Progressives Congress (Buhari ’ s party) are the 1 st to the 3rd respondents to the petition .

No date has been fixed for the hearing of the petition by the tribunal .

Ayade influences appointment of Edi into Rail board

Cross River State Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade has influenced the appointment of a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Hon. Gabriel Edi, into the board of the Federal Railway Corporation.

Edi's appointment is a demonstration of Gov. Ayade's spread of influence across political party lines. His sphere of influence and capacity to play national politics beyond party lining has been displayed by the appointment.

Ayade enjoys the goodwill of the government at the centre because of his performance in Cross River State in his first term in office, especially in the area of workers welfare. Cross River state, apart from being prompt in payment of workers salaries, did not owe their salaries.

Ayade has also proven by this appointment that his network of contacts at the federal level of government is for the benefit of his people.

BREAKING: Gov Ayade reverses appointment of new CRUTECH VC... Wants luxury of choice

The appointment of the new Vice Chancellor of State-owned varsity, Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH Prof Emmanuel Ingwu has been reversed by His Excellency the Executive Governor of the state, Sen. Ben Ayade.

According to the Chair of the Governing Council of the University, Dr Emil Inyang, the governor requested the submission of names of eligible candidates for the plum job from where he would have the luxury of choosing one to act in the interim as against the initial decision which announced just an individual foreclosing any options.

His words, 'the governor is of the opinion that we open up the acting issue, he has requested that we forward to him the names of all those we think are qualified. He wants a wider option. So, we have forwarded seven names to him.' According to Inyang, any one who finally emerges as the Acting Vice Chancellor would not be eligible to be reappointed in substanctive capacity.

Sources close to the development said the Governor gave the directive today and the decision of His Excellency was communicated in an emergency Governing Council meeting that held earlier in the day.

In his reaction, the deposed VC Ingwu walked out of the council-in-session in obvious embarrassment.

AYADE:ONE GOVERNOR, TOO MANY LAURELS.

By: Egbara Emmanuel Ikaba

May 01,2019

The transformation of Cross River State Governor, Senator Benedict Ayade from Digital Governor‘ to ‘Salary Master ‘ over the last four years is one of the most enduring narratives of this political dispensation.

From the very day Governor Ayade took over the reins of leadership and showed the signs of performance, his detractors have been waiting for him to falter. They may have to wait for eternity as the make-up of Governor Ayade has no room for developmental loss of focus .

Coming at a time when the homeland is in ominous need of farsighted leaders with the wisdom of King Solomon, guts of the Biblical Daniel and the leadership understanding of Joseph in the holy book, the people of Cross River State without a doubt have genuine reasons to be proud of their own.

His Excellency, Governor Benedict Ayade is a mystical revelation from the south-South part of the country; he is both a Lion and Jewel to South -South region.

His clout in the polity cuts size of someone who is exquisitely authorized to do what he is currently doing in the state, in the oval interest of all.

He has obviously clinched virtually every Laurel given as a reward of excellence, altruism and studiousness in governance by the Nigerian Media; all as proofs of his purposeful and responsive administration in the heart of the South-South.

He has equally notched the coveted prize of “Most Labour Friendly Governor” of the year in 2016; a major recognition and known recompense for prudence in the management of resources of the state, as well as his timely payment of workers’ salaries, irrespective of contingencies.

He has also landed on himself, the enviable tag of “most digitalized Governor” among his peers across the country .

Ayade is a father like no other in the nation; and a leader in the mold of ancient servants; worthy of their praises.

Ayade has similarly received the “greatest leadership medal” from all sectors.

He is in the business of road construction like the hurricane he is; tarring where indispensable and rehabilitating where obligatory in the general interest of the state, so as to make our cities and communities accessible.

He is creating jobs in bunch like a whirlwind in other to contain the spate of unemployment in the state; just as he is issuing  grants to help boost business ideas and nurture them to fruition for job creation and value generation.

In a society that listens, men of valor, candor, zeal and zest like Gov.Benedict Ayade ought to have been solely and wholly given a clean bill of health to return as Governor without subjecting him to the rigors of squaring with any contender in any election; as was the case in the governorship primary election of his party, (PDP, where he was a sole candidate); few months ago.

At the risk of sounding immodest, there is no single serving governor that can contend with Ayade.

Though with several verifiable reasons why he should fail, Governor Ayade chose the path of success–because that is what he promised the good people of Cross River State .

Today, Governor Ayade has proved the Cross River people right. He has lived up to their expectations through consistent initiation and execution of pro-people projects and programmes.

Everywhere you turn in Cross River State, you see projects.

The Ayade administration has ensured that governance gets a human face. Governance has come to live with the people and the people are glad.

LABOUR DAY, 2019: Chief Angela hails Gov. Ayade, C'River workers for lofty achievements

By Kadiri Abraham
May 1, 2019

Labour Day is celebrated all over the world on May 1 and is dedicated to working class labour force. Although, different countries have diverse motives for celebrating it, the overall theme centres on workers' achievements.
Just like in other countries of the world, the Federal Government of Nigeria has declared today public holiday to enable the working class subset of the nation's labour force celebrate.
Cross River State, the People's Paradise, is not left out in the spirit of celebration as the "Digital Governor," His Excellency Prof. Ben Ayade has lubricated their financial joints by prompt payment of May Salary.
A payment which had been recurring since the inception of his government, is no doubt, aimed at motivating workers to put in their best for better productivity.
Governor Ben Ayade must be commended in this regard because he has put smile on the faces of very many families who can now meet their pecuniary needs promptly.
Commending the effort of the Governor, Chief Angela Ogeyi Odey - SSA to Governor Ayade on Mobilization and Enlightenment said: "While we celebrate the 2019 Labour Day, I must commend the effort of the 'Alert Governor,' Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade for his unrelenting and sustainable effort in ensuring that Cross River State workers smile to the bank before the end of each month. It is, indeed, a very kind gesture demonstrates his love and political will."
She added that Cross River workers have been lucky to have Sent. Prof.Ben Ayade as Governor, appreciating them for making the right choice during the 2019 gubernatorial election, which will return the incumbent Governor on May 29.
She called on workers to imbibe industry in discharging their duties as indigenes, thereby promoting the progress of the state. "I am calling on every worker in Cross River State to support the effort of Governor Ben Ayade. I urge you to put in your best in discharging your duties for the progress of the state and prospective generation. Ensure there is value for the timely salaries the Governor has been paying," she added.
She further commended workers for their confidence in Governor Ayade, stressing that their desire to amend the constitution for the purpose of extending the tenure of the "Digital Governor" will have been a reality, if it were within the purview of the state to take such decision. "We are not unaware of your desire to extend Gov. Ayade's tenure beyond eight years by amendment of Constitution. How I wished it were possible. In the next four years, you still have ample opportunity to enjoy prompt salary and plan for yourself." she summed up.

This Is What Happens When Someone Cheats In The Relationship

Think of infidelity like the perfect storm. There are so many things going on and you’re going to struggle to keep the boat of your relationship afloat. You are going to be dealing with so many feelings and emotions – you are likely to end up being paralyzed by the immensity of the situation.
Naturally, there are some couples out there who are still able to make things work even after a case of infidelity and cheating in the relationship. But not all couples are going to be so lucky. In fact, the vast majority of relationships with cheating involved is going to result in breakups or separations. Whatever the case, the relationship is going to go through some very substantial changes once someone cheats.
1. At least one of you is going to request for some time apart.
It’s natural that one of you is going to want to ask for some time apart. Sometimes, that can mean just a few hours of separation. For others, it might take a few weeks or even months.
2. You and your partner might not see eye to eye on how bad the situation is.
One partner might think that the relationship is completely doomed and the other might think that things aren’t as bad. It’s very likely that you won’t see eye to eye on just how serious the situation that you’re in really is.
3. The negative emotions in the relationship will be at an all-time high.
Of course, as is expected, there will be so many emotions running through a relationship once someone cheats. And for the most part, these emotions are going to be of the negative kind. It will be very difficult for couples to navigate their way through such negativity.
4. The trust in the relationship will be marred significantly.
Naturally, when two people get into a relationship with one another, they establish a sense of trust with each other. However, once someone cheats in the relationship, it is a blatant betrayal on the other party. And that betrayal can really damage the trust that has been built over the course of the relationship.
5. The broken trust can affect future relationships after a breakup.
Even if the relationship in question comes to a close, the effects of cheating can stick to a person long after the breakup. As the person who gets cheated on gets into new relationships, they are at risk of having trust issues as a result of being victimized in the past.
6. Cheating can affect the aggrieved person’s self-esteem.
Cheating can really damage a person’s confidence. The person who gets cheated on will wonder about why their partner could ever betray them like that. And they will try to see what flaws they have which could have induced the infidelity.
7. The quality of communication in the relationship might strengthen.
In some cases, the quality of communication in the relationship might actually strengthen as a result of cheating. This is because infidelity and unfaithfulness can raise a lot of questions in a relationship; questions that just need answers. And so, the people involved working together to try to make sense of everything – no matter how painful it might be.
8. The relationship is likely to come to an end.
And of course, the one change that you can most likely expect when someone cheats in the relationship is that the relationship will probably come to an end. A vast majority of couples all over the world are just never able to recover from cases of infidelity.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Cheating is always rough. Sure, there is a chance that the relationship would be strong enough to withstand the drama that comes with infidelity. But a lot of the time, the whole situation just tends to overwhelm couples. This is especially true for younger couples who haven’t been together for so long.
The reason this is the case is that trust is always going to be a very important pillar on which to build a relationship. And once that trust is broken in such a severe manner, it can be really hard for couples to recover. It’s like a house that loses one of its walls. The entire integrity of the structure is just compromised.
That is why it’s important for you to always stay loyal and faithful in a relationship. You always want to commit yourself to the one that you’re in a relationship with. If things are getting difficult, then fight even harder to keep that love alive. But if you feel like it’s really not meant to be, then just break things off and walk away. Don’t cheat. There is no plausible circumstance in the world wherein cheating is going to be okay.
Make sure that you are mature enough to understand the value of faithfulness and commitment in a relationship prior to actually getting in one. If these are principles that don’t really matter much to you, then that’s a serious problem. You might have some serious growing up that you need to do.

5 Changes That Happen When You Experience True Love

True love. It’s something that we all aspire to have in our lives. It’s something that we know is beautiful and so we want it for ourselves. And there are those of us who are lucky enough to actually find and experience true love at the first try. However, for the vast majority of us, we have to go around the block a few times before we actually get it right.
And wow, it’s amazing. Once you fall in love for real, it’s really a different experience. It’s nothing like you could possibly ever experience in the world. Once you fall in love for real, you’re just never going to be the same person. You are fundamentally changed to the core and you will adopt a whole new view of the world around you.
There is just something so inherently powerful and disarming about falling in love with someone so intimately and wholeheartedly. You end up feeling a lot safer and more secure even though you are practically entrusting your heart to another person. You will feel completely comfortable even when you’re baring your whole soul to someone else. You find that all of your fears and insecurities are minimized; you become more confident and self-assured because of the knowledge that someone loves you.
It’s an amazing experience.
And again, you’re going to go through some very serious changes once you fall in love for real. And if you’re curious about what those changes are going to be like, then you should read on until the very end of this article.
1. You will understand what it means to live life with more passion.
You will learn how to live life more passionately. You’re going to see that passion in the face of the person who loves you so much. And you will realize just how beautiful a passionate person can become. That’s why you’re going to be inspired to live out your own personal passions as well.
You will come to know that passion is never something that you need to suppress or lock up. It’s always something that you want to be tapping into. It’s something that you want to drive and propel you forward.
2. You will become more courageous.
In connection with the previous item on this list, you’re going to end up learning how to channel your passions into taking risks. You are going to become a lot more open and vulnerable. You won’t have to hide away behind walls anymore. You won’t have to be maintaining emotional distances with this person.
You become a lot braver and more willing to just face the world. Love is going to give you the confidence that you need to just open your heart up more and more. And in the end, the bigger your heart is going to become.
3. You learn the art of unconditional acceptance.
Falling in love with someone isn’t like a buffet wherein you get to just pick and choose the parts of a person to love. It really doesn’t work that way. When you fall in love with someone, you love that person in their entirety. You don’t just love or accept the parts that are easy or convenient. You love them for who they are.
And so, even though you acknowledge that a person isn’t necessarily going to be perfect all of the time, you still accept them. You still make sure that they feel like they aren’t being judged or criticized because your heart is able to accept all parts of them.
4. You will respect yourself more.
When you fall in love with someone for real, you are going to be with a person who is going to be deeply appreciative of everything you are and everything that you do. You will understand what it means to have someone who is truly grateful for whatever gestures or efforts you might show them.
And since you gain that much respect from another human being, it also enables you to gain a more profound sense of respect for yourself. You will learn to be truly more appreciative of all the gifts that you have to give those around you.
5. You stay more genuine and true to who you are.
One of the most amazing things that take place when you fall in love is that you tend to see yourself differently. How? Well, you end up seeing yourself as how your partner sees you. And that means that you end up loving yourself more. You no longer feel the need to pressure yourself to act a certain way.
You know that your partner sees you and accepts you for who you really are. And that’s enough for you. You no longer have to hide behind any walls, masks, or facades. You can just be your true and genuine self without fear or shame.

5 Ways To Repel Stress

Stress is a sickness that strikes anyone at any given time. It’s a great equalizer to all that is good in life. Stress can take its form in many different things. It differs for every person. What is stressful for one may not necessarily be stressful for another. The common underlying principles that connect our collective stress is this: Stress arises from our perceived threats to our existence as human beings.
If we see any potentially damaging threats to the harmony of our lives, it can cause us stress. Stress, therefore, is a product of how we perceive our situations and how we react to them. We’re not saying that by the end of this article, you will live a completely stress-free life; that’s impossible.
Stress helps keeps us sane by providing a sense of emotional and physiological balance to our lives. However, what this article aims to do is to help you cope with stressful situations by alleviating its effects on your psyche. If you manage to improve your mental strength by practicing these simple tips, then you’ll end up dealing with stress in a better way.
Remember that stress is a result of how you perceive your situation, so if you manage to gain control of your perceptions, then you can control your stress.
Here are 5 simple ways to repel stress:
1. Get Comfortable With Saying No To People
Stop saying yes to things that make you uncomfortable. We know that you’re a very nice person who doesn’t want to let other people down but you should understand that it’s okay to be selfish every once in a while. When someone asks you to do something for them, you’re taking on their stresses on their behalf, and you really don’t need it. Yes, it’s good to do favors for people every now and then, but you should only do as much as your body can handle stress-wise. You don’t want to burn yourself out by carrying the burdens that other people should be carrying themselves.
Also understand that time is the most precious and most expensive resource that anyone can get. We are all granted limited time in a day, and we must use it in the most efficient way we can. Make sure you use all of the seconds of your day to accomplish your own tasks first before you consider taking on the tasks of other people. Trust us. No one will think that you’re a bad person just because you’re a little selfish every once in a while.В – Continue reading on the next page
2. Get Over Your Fears By Confronting Them
A lot of our stresses arise out of our fears. When we develop our fears, they tend to take control of how we live our lives. Our fears end up dictating how we structure our daily routines out of the intentions to avoid confronting them. Of course, some fear is good. Fear is what keeps us from doing stupid stuff that can get people killed or hurt. But it’s unhealthy to let fear rule how you live over your life. For example, if you’re working a job because you fear you’ll fall under the poverty line as opposed to working a job because you love what you do, you’re putting yourself under a lot of stress. Even if Person A and Person B perform the same job, but have different outlooks on how they approach their work, then one will end up being more stressed than the other. Don’t let fear rule your actions. Take control of your actions to overcome your fear.
3. Be a Positive Thinker
Stop being the glass half empty kind of guy. You don’t need that kind of negativity in your life. No one does. Yes, you can be a realist. You don’t have to be a blind optimist, but you should also practice a good balance of positive thinking to balance out your realism. The pessimist lives a life in perpetual stress because everything is in its virtual worst state in his eyes. If you try to adjust your outlook and life and approach your situations in a positive manner, then you’ll instantly relieve yourself a substantial amount of stress.В – Continue reading on the next page
4. Get That Body Moving
Exercise is the best possible drug that you can get hooked on. Exercise ignites the endorphins in your body that serve as natural sources of happiness. Not only will you start looking better because of your fit aesthetic, you’ll also start feeling better about yourself. Getting your body active is also a great way of practicing your discipline and work ethic. Get that body moving and start feeling happier instantly! We promise you’ll come out of the gym feeling like a brand new person after a good workout.
5. Keep the Mind Sharp by Feeding It
Read lots of books. Watch lots of movies. See a local theater production. Visit the museum. Immerse yourself in as much culture as you can. Sharpen your mind and keep it nourished by constantly exposing yourself to new perspectives. The more you sharpen your mind, the more control you can gain over it. The more control you have over your own mind, the better you can manage your perception of stressful situations.

WHAT IS A SALARY?

MR. ERIC WIREKO  (EDUCATIONIST, TEACHER)

- A salary is a bribe for one to forget their ambition.

Research has it that the poorest group of people in the world are the salary earner's group, which is practically next to beggars' group.

They live in a vicious cycle of poverty, managed on a 30-day duration while their freedom and opinions totally gone.

For them, salary is continuously being awaited every month, and any slight delay brings heartbreaking anxiety, pressure and disappointment.... That is the reasons many steal to survive.

Salary is a short-term solution to a life time problem. Salary alone cannot solve your money problems.
You need multiple sources of income to balance.

The tax return form contains about 11 income streams, of which salary is just one.
Don't live life fishing with just one hook; there are many fishes in the ocean.

Salary is the MEDICINE for managing POVERTY, not for CURING it. Only your BUSINESS or INVESTMENT cures poverty.

Most investors are not salary earners.

The difference between those beggars on the street and salary earners is one month salary.

Truncate the flow of their salary for one month and you would realize that majority of them are pure paupers.

If you divide your salary by the rate of exchange, you will discover that you are poorer, relative to when you started work; or divide your salary per annum by 2,000 on hours to know what your one hour is worth.

If you do not have 3 months salary in savings, you are already poor.

Being a salary earner is a mentality, break It!

Your worth is far more than your salary.

Salary is the value someone has put on your efforts.

How much do you value yourself?

You can't increase in value, unless you value yourself differently.

Life is a trade off between time, effort and reward.

To be rewarded more, you have to become more valuable.

Most salary earners end up poor in the long and short term. I therefore urge every one of us to be FINANCIALLY INTELLIGENT, FINANCIALLY LITERATE, and OPEN OUR EYES TO SEE OPPORTUNITIES IN PROBLEMS.

Delve into entrepreneurship because salary is a lifetime disappointment.
Being a salary earner or investor is a decision.

Life will not change until you decide.

 Make the move!

Remember what I just said "Salary is a bribe to forget one's ambition".

    HAPPY WORKER'S DAY (YAPP MEDIA)

AYADE PAYS MAY SALARY ON MAY 1st.

The Digital Governor of Cross River State, the salary alert master and promise keeper has once again done that which others dare to do.

A few hours ago,  Cross River State workers and particularly over 6000 appointees on the payroll of the state  woke up to the cheering news to what they described as unbelievable pleasant surprise of the year when news went virile that the Governor who only few days ago paid April salary to workers could muster resources from the lean purse of the state to pay May salary at a time that the financial stress of post election is  plaguing every state and preventing them from meeting crucial needs of Governance.

Cross Riverians who expressed their views across political parties, ethnic and religious lines stated that the Governor has proven every doubting thomases wrong.

According to one Mr Bassey Eneobong, a chieftain of APC in calabar municipality, he said he and his party never believed that the Governor would be able to carry the heavy load of payment of salary from June 2015 to May 2019 but the Governor has shocked everyone.

He further stated that, he was aware of the huge debts Governor Ayade inherited including the backlogs of salary, pension and gratuity, judiciary workers strike and many more which Governor Ayade has cleared and even proceeded to lift 19 years embargo on employment and has in four years taken cross river state from its abysmal state to great heights.

Another civil servant, Mr Inyang Akpama said the greatest thing Ayade has done is that by keeping his  promise to Cross Riverians on payment of salary, he has defiled  the negative notion against  politicians that they don't keep promises.

The name PROMISE KEEPER is a synonym for Ayade.

He described Governor Ayade as a Man of Political Fidelity and a good material for the centre.

An appointee of Governor Ayade from  Yala  Mr John odey ohiero from Yala  said he was not only shocked when he received the May alert  but he is happy that enemies of progress from the  opposition party who  took over the social media space to say that the Governor will not pay April and May salary will now hide their faces in shame and may become sick because the Governor will not abandone his people.

He said he is proud and can tell every one in the world that the best Governor that thinks first about the welfare of workers in the world remains Governor Ayade.

To have ended what he started with four years ago without borrowing a kobo despite being the second to the last after osun state on FAAC and huge debts servicing of between 1.8 to 2 billion naira monthly  has made Governor Ayade the best Governor of the century.

The consensus in Cross River state today is that the only person that will surpass Governor Ayade is Governor  Ayade and Governor  Ayade.
