The inspection hits Obubra LG with warm welcome by the HOLGA and staff, where Hon. Odey informed the staff the essence of her visit, stating that she was sent by His Excellency Sen. Prof Ben Ayade to inspect facilities in the LG and report back to him for possible intervention. She applauded the Head of Local Government Administration, HOLGA, Mr. Ovari Inyang for the work thus far but also sue for more.

The Commissioner stated that, there's urgent need to diversify the Internally Generated Revenue base in the Local Government. Odey stated that, The state Governor, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade is thinking outside the box, not minding what is coming as federal allocation monthly cause it can do Little. "Prof. Ayade being a governor is planting  rice by himself just to see the state working, and salaries paid. We have no choice than to device other means of revenue generation as well, for the good of the rural populace".

Odey also charged that, all projects in LG must be to the benefit of the rural dwellers especially the downtrodden, as the LG is for the people in the grassroot. She also urged that all government projects and properties must be adequately cared for and taken into custody by the director of works.

The HOLGA, Mr Ovari Inyang congratulated Hon. Odey for her appointment, eulogizing that it is evidently a round peg in a round hole appointment. Mr. Inyang commended the supersonic Governor of Cross River State for directing Hon. Odey on such visit, stating that there have been no visit by any LG Affairs Commissioner of this magnitude. Mr. Inyang highlighted the council's achievement, completed and ongoing projects.
