"There is no way you can advice the poor not to engage in polygamy when as a young man, you had four wives. He was riding a rolls royce on the poverty ravaged streets of Kano. Clearly, he ran into contradictions"
Femi Falana on the deposition of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi...
He can afford the four wives so if u are against it on your conviction doesn't mean you should change the narratives. What SLS said was addressed to the people who can't afford it as stated in the Quran. I want to believe the Learned SAN was quoted out of context but if not, he is coming from an angle of total opposition to polygamy which I don't agree with him.
What is this SAN saying? Do you know what it means to rise to the position of the CBN top man? Won't this kind of man be able to feed 10 women and clothe them if he so wishes to have them? Even you as a SAN the millions of naira you make every year will afford you the same luxury.
All comments should center on what Sanusi put in place to address the scourge of poverty as charity begins at home. He talks too much as a first-class emir. He should join us In the public arena . Judges, army generals Drs are now traditional RULERS they have direct access to Government rather cheap popularity in the media.
