The Student's Union Government SUG, University of Calabar chapter, last night presented award of honor to the PDP Candidate for Yala Local Government Chairmanship, Barr. (Hon.) Fabian O Ogbeche,who is also an alumnus of the prestigious University. Barr. Fabian was ably represented by Dr. Mike Odey.
The Union deemed it fit to present the prestigious award of recognition to Barr. Fabian for his outstanding, immeasurable and invaluable contributions to youth development and the growth of education at large.
Barr. Fabian who is an alumnus of University of Calabar haven gone through rigorous and thorough academic process in the Faculty of law, contributed and still contributing laudably to the growth of students, the union and the school at large, was noticed and recognized for his selfless deeds- indeed reward for hard work may linger to materialize but it must surely materialize.
The recipient, Barr. Fabian is the PDP Candidate for Yala LGA Chairmanship position for the March council poll in Cross River State. He has paid his dues and it is his time to enjoy the dividend of his labor even as he continue the good work in Yala LGA and the society at large.
Receiving the award, Barr. Fabian ably represented by Dr. Mike Odey, thanked the Union's leadership and entire students across various institution in the country for keeping the flag of unionism flying. He appreciated the UNICAL SUG for their laudable achievements thus far, promised continuous collaboration even as he takes over Yala Chairmanship position, God's willing.
Barr. Fabian advised students to see every opportunity as an avenue to impact lives. He particularly, advised them to see their education as the primary reason why they are in school while other activities should be secondary.
In conclusion, Barr. Fabian dedicated his award to his family, Cross River State students, Yala Local Government Students, and Youth across the 36 states of Nigeria including FCT.
