Various outlets have reported that President Buhari has called for a meeting with six governors over the formation of a new security outfit with a strategic geopolitical region where the six governors coincide. The idea of this security outfit, called Amotekun, was birthed a year prior to now in a bid to help put a stop to the security situation within the region.
The reason for the six governors being called to Aso Rock is for them to present strong reasons why the bill allowing the creation of the security outfit should fly in the wake of heightened kidnapping and armed robbery. More updates on the whole ordeal will be given as they come.
