The new Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Cross River State, Barrister Tanko Ashang in a warm handshake with His Excellency, Sen Prof Ben Ayade after the swearing in ceremony at the Executive Council Chambers, Governor’s office, Calabar, Wednesday.
A renowned Abuja based legal luminary of Obanliku extraction, Barrister Tanko Ashang , has been sworn in as the new Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice for Cross River State, by the state Govermor, Sen Prof. Ben Ayade, today.
Ashang who was a one time Commissioner for Works in the state under the leadership of the immediate past governor of Cross River State, Sen. Liyel Imoke, until his nomination by Governor Ben Ayade and screening and confirmation by the Cross River House of Assembly (CRHA) on Tuesday November 26, 2019, he was an Abuja based Private legal practitioner.
The Obanliku born new Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice who has immediately resumed his office at the Ministtry of Justice, New Secretariat, Calabar after after swearing in replaced the immediate past Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, in the first tenure, Barrister Joe Oshie Abang.
