The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Zana Akpagu has etched his name on the annals of history owing to the installation of the first-ever elevator at the University's main library.
The elevator which is now functioning at full capacity is one of the projects initiated and completed by the Vice Chancellor.
It is however the first ever elevator installed in the university since its establishment, 44 years ago.
Speaking, the Vice Chancellor said he is poised to uplift the institution to greater heights through massive infrastructural development.
Prof Akpagu who stated this when he took a on-the -spot assessment of the elevator said it is meant to ease movement in the three-story library complex.
