Obudu and Tiv land dispute: SSA North, Royal Fathers, others sues for peace as they await boundary commission

OBUDU AND TIV LAND DISPUTE: CR - SSA NORTH, ROYAL FATHERS, OTHERS ON PEACE MISSION TO BOTH COMMUNITIES...

The Cross River State Security Adviser North, Mr Leo Inyambe led high powered delegation for peace talk over boundary crisis between Mazerim community of Benue state and Aborkim community of Cross River State. The meeting was held on Saturday 7th September, precisely Obudu new yam festival day at Dr Paul Adalikwu's resident.

The move was geared at forestalling lasting peace between the two communities over lingering land dispute.

Prominent sons of both communities had initially met in Abuja before this last meeting in Obudu to bring the national boundary commission to put the beacons.

The resolution was that, both communities should sheath their swords and embrace peace as they await the boundary commission to come do the necessary thing.
