C’RIVER SUBEB TO DISTRIBUTE OVER 2,000 FARM TOOLS TO PRIMARY SCHOOLS

As parts of efforts to encourage agricultural science amongst pupils, the Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board (CR-SUBEB) is set to distribute 2, 236 farm tools to primary schools across the state under the 2018 UBE intervention fund.
The Executive Chairman SUBEB, Dr Stephen Odey said these farm tools will enable teachers and pupils carry out practical lessons which will give pupils a better understanding of crop cultivation. He further urged teachers to put tools to good use and protect tools against theft and vandalism.
Dr Odey thanked Governor Ben Ayade for providing the 2018 matching grant which he said has gone a long way in improving the standard of basic education in the state.
Some of the tools include, Watering cans, wheel barrows, hand hoes, spraying machines, measuring cylinders, fork shovels, amongst others.
