Queen (Engr.) Jesustina Opoji Ogar, was born on the 26th day of March in the early 90's being the 4th child into the family of Pastor and Mrs. Francis Major Ogar, a native of Gabu, Yala Local Government Area, Cross River State.
Her parents being Christians, she was indoctrinated into the Assemblies of God's Church (AG) but today, she's a staunch member of Dunamis International Gospel Centre where she currently serve as a chorister in the choir department.
She attended Blessed Child Nursery and Primary School, Obudu and later proceeded to Veden Nursery and Primary School, Okuku-Yala where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC).
Queen Jesustina had her post primary education at the prestigious and famous Federal Government College (FGC) Ikom, Cross River state
In 2008, she amongst three others represented Yala Local Government Area, Cross River State in A State Fit For a Child (ASFAC); a Summer Camp Competition organized by Her Excellency, Obioma Liyel Imoke. She emerged winner in the Senior Category Spelling Bee Competition after competing with eighteen (18) students representing the eighteen (18) Local Government Areas in Cross River State. She was also awarded a Cultural Ambassador of the state during the tenure of Hon. Fidel Egoro as Chairman, Yala local government council.
After her secondary education and following her desire of becoming an engineer, she gained admission into Madonna University Port-Harcout, Elele Campus for her remedial to study petrochemical Engineering. During her remedial days, she further sat for Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examinations and was granted admission into Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) Calabar, Calabar Campus where she finally studied Civil Engineering; having her specialty on High Way Engineering and Construction (B.ENG. Civil Engineering) after completing a research work on Flexible Pavement Design (A Case Study of CRUTECH to UNICAL Link).
As an undergraduate student, Queen Jesustina was a strong and active unionist. During her study years, she was amongst the Engineering team from Megalo Construction Company Calabar, who installed Gabion Structure (A Gravity Retaining Wall) on Erosion Control and Land Slide up Obudu Mountain Resort (Obudu Cattle Ranch) Obudu Cross River State. Jesustina was also a three time delegate from her Faculty (Engineering) to attend the 23rd, 24th and 25th Council For the Regulation Of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) Assembly. She is a graduate member with the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) and graduate member Nigeria Institute of Civil Engineers(NICE).
Just after graduation, Jesustina also worked with Isthmus Engineering Limited where she served in the capacity of a team leader in the Installations Of Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP) for Cladding the Calabar Shopping mall (SPAR), Cross River State.
In her quest for more knowledge and insights on career actualization, she underwent professional training with Exxon Global Consult Limited where she obtained the following:
*Project Management and Planning.
*Human Resource Management.
*Health Safety and Environment.
*Customers Service Relationship.
Queen Jesustina Opoji Ogar had her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) with Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Federal Capital Territory, FCT-Abuja from 2017-2018 where she was given the opportunity to enhance her professionalism on Road maintenance and Supervision.
Jesustina is highly sociable, jovial and a loveable young and enterprising lady with a good sense of humour in interactions and dealings with people. These has surely paid her positively so far. In her first year as an undergraduate, (2011), she contested for Miss Cross River University Of Technology (CRUTECH) Calabar Campus amongst other contestants and emerged winner. She became the first Miss CRUTECH to rule for two years before handing over her throne.
She also won the Yala Beauty Queen Contest in 2016 and as well became the first Miss Yala Beauty Queen to be given a car as a star prize and the longest serving Queen, (2016-2018) on the throne. She handed over her crown on the 29th of August 2018 after serving for two years.
She was also a contestant at Face Of EddyLiz 2014 Beauty Pageant Edition, Calabar and a contestant at the last edition of Northern Festival Cultural Contest Organized by the Cross River State Government.
In her zeal and passion for the girl child, Queen Jesustina runs a Non Governmental Organization (NGO), (Queen Jesty's Foundation) which is focused on self esteem on the girl child. This foundation has carried out so many life changing activities which includes; Sensitization programs on teenage pregnancy, distribution of food items to the sick in hospitals across Yala local government area, distribution of wrappers to widows within Yala and environs, educational and career talks across Yala, nenstrual hygiene awareness tagged "How Hygienic is the Adolescent Girl", distribution of sanitary pads to over 250-400 female senior secondary school girls across Yala. (This activities has become a yearly program).
This young, vibrant, dynamic and reliable enthusiast is willing to engage herself with one of the reputable organizations in Nigeria and in diaspora where her professionalism can be felt by humanity and service to her father's land.
