Cross River mini education summit to improve service delivery in educational sector


The 2019 Cross River State mini education summit is expected to improve service delivery in the educational sector,even as  Governor Ben Ayade has reechoed the determination of his government to ensure quality education for Cross Riverians, that would have the ultimate goal to improve the lives of the people.

 In the same vein, he used the opportunity to advocate for character and moral regeneration in our schools and called for more religious and private sector participation in educational sector. This was his submission at  ongoing mini education Summit . According to him the summit is a strong demonstration of my   government to reposition the educational sector in the state for quality goal delivery and ensure the state remains a strong and vibrant educational state.

The summit with theme: Private Sector Participation in Education Service Delivery: Challenges and Prospects, has major stakeholders as participants from the educational sector. Earlier in her welcome remark, the Permanent Secretary  of the ministry of education, Mrs Aniedi Bassey Ekpenyong, thanked governor Ayade for all his support to ensure the ministry meet the expectations of the people on education. She  also commended the stakeholders for their active participation in the summit.

The mini education summit is expected to deliberate majorly, on the request by the Catholic church on the state government to return back six of its  primary schools that were  taken over by the state government.
