President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has reached out to former Nigerian head of state, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (RTD) on the occasion of his 78th birthday.
Gen. Babangida, fondly called IBB, was Nigeria’s military head of state from 27 August 1985 to 26 August 1993.
In a heartfelt message,signed by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media and Publicity), President Buhari thanked him for playing the role of a statesman in the country, while saying the country will continue to look up to the ex leader for guidance and wisdom.
