Nigerian President His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari has today June 12 Named National Stadium Abuja after MKO Abiola the winner of the 1993 election that was annulled.
Remember president Buhari has earlier declared and signed to law June 12 as the new day for Nigerian democracy day celebration to commemorate the 1993 election that saw MKO as winner but was annulled.
Buhari who made the declaration during the democracy day celebration at Eagle's Square, Abuja said the decision is to further honor and respect the person of Abiola, his role in the 1993 election.
