The Cross River State Director General of Due process and Price intelligence Bureau,Hon.Barrister Alphonsus Ogar Eba, has congratulated the Senator representing the good people of Cross River North and her colleague in the green chamber Hon.Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe on their innuguration ceremony into the 9th Assembly.
Eba in a felicitation message to the Lawmakers, said a historic opportunity has been offered to the Lawmakers to Serve their people again and take on other critical areas .
Part of his message read: The people of Northern Senatorial district and the good people of Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency has offered Senator Rose Oko and Hon.Jarigbe Agom a rare opportunity to demonstrate their unique abilities to serve the people in the 9th Assembly.
A golden opportunity is therefore here for our Lawmakers to bring to fruition their on-going projects, initiate the ones they couldn't start in the 8th assembly as well as bring fresh ideas to tackle critical areas that will define their administration in the continent of quality governance.
Our people have spoken and the election is over. We must therefore unite behind the Lawmakers to ensure that they succeeds.
Cross River is first and the collective aspiration of our people must remain utmost. And the only way to ensure this is to give all necessary support to those entrusted with our mandate.
Eba however, urged the Lawmakers to extend hands of fellowship to their opponents at the election as no good idea should be thrown away.
I will advise them not to throw away completely some of the constructive criticisms by their opponents during the election as some of them raised issues that will assist them perform better in the second stanza and etch their names indelibly in the hearts of the people. I hence wish them a very successful 9th Assembly.
The Director General further congratulated the constituents for turning out in good numbers to make their choice and commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for a credible exercise as well as the security agencies for contributing significantly to the success of the 2019 election.
