One of the goals of Teachers Education in Nigeria is the production of "highly motivated consciousness and efficient classroom teachers for all levels of the educational system"(FRN,2004, p.39).
To achieve the above goal, all teachers meant for our educational institutions are expected to be professionally trained by providing them with the intellectual and. Must have professional background adequate for the 21st century learner who happens to be a digital Citizen.
In this regard, the construction and establishment of a Modern Digital Teachers Training College at BIASE LGA, CROSS RIVER STATE by the Administration of His Excellency Professor Senator Ben AYADE the Digital Governor of Cross River State is highly commendable.
The Executive Chairman CR-SUBEB Dr Barr.Stephen Odey ChMC while on the spot check of progress of work, encouraged the site engineers/workers to keep up the speed and progress of work, informing them to be very committed in delivering a quality job, meeting all best standard as His Excellency Prof. AYADE is very poised in the delivery of quality, efficient and digital Teacher Education that will further translate to more gains in the education sector where high learning achievements amongst learners are recorded.
