The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Ijesha North Diocese of Osun State has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure he fulfils all promises made during, before and after the presidential election.
The communion at a synod held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Esa Oke, also urged the Federal Government to intensify efforts to free abducted Dachi schoolgirl, Leah Sharibu and other schoolgirls abducted at Government College, Chibok in April 2014.
According to a release signed by Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev’d. Dr. Isaac Oluyamo and Registrar, Adeleke Agbola Esq., the communion thanked the president for hearkening to the voice of reason by signing into law, the new minimum wage bill.
It added that efforts should be put in place to end insecurity in the country including the farmers/herders crisis, kidnapping and armed robberies in the country.
The communion also pleaded with the people of the state to accept in peace the judgement of the Supreme Court as regards the Osun State governorship election in order to forestall the breakdown of law and order in the state.
