Sad: Mother Of Triplets In Tears As Ant Took Over Incubator, Killed Children

Divine prematured triplet who were Successfully delivered at Primary health center Ofunbogha, Obubra Local Government Area; referred from health centre Ofunbogha to holy family hospital Ikom has been confirmed dead due to negligence and mismanagement.
Recalled that the Director General, DG, Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency, CRSPHCDA, Dr Betta Edu has given immediate support to the premature babies by providing generator and fuel for holy family hospital Ikom to run the incubator for the three babies. She has also made provision for food and cloths for the new babies. Other donations were gotten from the PHCC ikom MRS Anthonia Owan and mr’s Getty Ogboche who gave some financial assistance to ensure that the babies survived.

Continuing, Dr Betta Edu assures that the government and her staff at Ikom must give every support to the family to keep mother and babies alive “ we commend the quality of service rendered at Primary Health Centre Ofunbogha by our dedicated frontline health workers, we commend the promptness with which the referred them to a higher level of care. We must make those sacrifices and act beyond ordinary to prevent increase in number of women and children that die daily! The Governor Sen Ben Ayade is proud of the effort of these staff and has asked me to reward them appropriately.
Weetalknaija Blog gathered that negligence and mismanagement of funds led to their death, as the monies meant for incubating the babies were rather used for a different purpose.
In another report, Thompson informed weetalknaija Blog that the uncle’s account was funded since the father to the babies had no bank account, but the monies were misused

“The DG made a frantic effort through the PHC, Ikom to ensure the babies are safe, but governor, Senator Ben Ayade did not provide the needed attention to safe the babies, if proper care was given to those babies, I see no reason why ant would have invaded the Incubator”, Thompson said.
Speaking with Mr Odong Prince Thompson, weetalknaija Blog report that once they heard that the DG was in for the kids, they wanted money for every activity they performed, that is how the Doctors and the Nurses allowed ant ate up the children even inside the incubator.
