Mbube community bestows DOPT boss with Most Influential Youth and Political Icon award.



Conrade Godwin Nyiam, the Director General of Department of Public Transportation, DOPT, has been conferred with the title  of Most Influential Youth and Political Icon award by the Ekintak community in  Mbube. Ogoja Local Government Area

The award was presented on him at the weekend was chaired by Captain Tom Modey, PhD who was represented by Dr Don Clems Enanhe
.
Speaking while conferring the award on Comrade Nyiam, the Clan Head of Ekumtaj, His Royal Highness, Chief Linus Adie said Nyiam's  philanthropic and outstanding commitment to the development of the Mbube nation as whole made him to deserve the award.

"We have three reasons for bestowing this prestigious award on this young man: he has been reaching out to members of this community both men and women along with the youths. He is a philanthropist whom we are proud of to show our love for what he is doing we have to confer him with this award".

Chief Adie said the DOPT boss has shown remarkable commitment to the Governor of the state as seen in his mobilising massive support for the governor by winning ninety percent of the votes in Ekumtak and that makes him deserving of the award

" Governor Ayade is dear to us and what this young mab did in the reelection of the governor shows he loves and appreciates what His Excellency did for him and we as a community have to give him our total support".

He said for the first time in the history of the community everyone had a fair share of the funds shared in the election.

Dr Clems Enanhe, who represented the chairman of the occasion,  Captain Modey thanked the Ekuntak community for the honour done to Comrade Nyiam and called on them to continue to pray for him and the Ayade administration for a successful second tenure.

"The Digital Governor is industrialising the state and Ogoja is a major beneficiary as seen with the establishment of the Rice Processing factory and construction of the road stretching across the five local government areas of the north and so we must pray and support him as one of us".

The event was attended by other illustrious sons and daughters of Mbube including the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice. Barrister Joe Abang
