The Senior Special Assistant to the Cross River State Governor on mobilization and enlightment,Chief Angela Ogeyi Odey has felicitated with the people of the state on the peaceful and joyful celebration of Easther, assuring them that the success story of Cross River state under the watch of Governor Benedict Ayade will continue unhindered.
In her Easther Message, Chief Angela urged the people of the state to imbibe the values of Easther by making sacrifices, love, friendship and unity.
Chief Angela, urged them not to relent in cooperating and supporting government at all levels in their efforts to put in place programmes and measures that will enhance and improve the standard of living of Cross Riverians.
She assured the residents of the state of adequate security put in place by the Governor during and after the celebration.
She said that the State Government has put in place the right security architecture to protect the people of the state.
While thanking the Cross River people for their support and love for Governor Benedict Ayade, noted that Governor BENEDICT AYADE will continue with the projects and programmes that have brought development to the state.
In a statement by her Media team , Chief Angela said: “Easter is a period to share love and promotes peace.Jesus Christ lived and died for peace and love to reign and we can all emulate the exemplary life of Christ by becoming promoter of peace and love. Easter is the reason we are called Christians.”
“The reason for this season, therefore, is that we should show love to one another irrespective of our cultural or political leanings. We should not allow political differences come between our bonds of brotherhood.
She said Easter exemplifies the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus Christ to save mankind, noting that as individuals, Christians must take into consideration the welfare of others.
She called on the people of Cross River State to re-dedicate themselves to the service of the state as they reflect on the ideals of Easter.
She said Easter is a period of fresh beginning, forgiveness, love and friendship. The SSA urged the privileged to reach out to the less privileged as everyone works to deepen the culture of true Christianity.
“There is no sacrifice too much for peace. I want to use this opportunity of the Easter celebration by Christians all over the world to call on Cross Riverians to sustain the prevailing peace in the state so that we will continue to enjoy the Spirit of enterprise of Governor Ayade.”
She wished the people of Cross River State a Happy Easter celebration.
