The Director General Cross River Primary Health Care Development Agency Dr Mrs Betta Edu has refuted a publication making rounds that she had approved new date for the conduct of fresh interview for candidates from Southern Cross River State sequel to their Petition on purported irregularities.
Dr Betta In a chat with the eagles voice Admin Mr Adoga Michael Oyi after seeing the false publication said that, the interview conducted by the Agency under her watch were transparent devoid of any irregularity as due process was followed from the beginning till the end. She said neither she nor the organisation had fixed any fresh date for such interview. In her Statement, "why should we do that when the right thing was done and candidates were shortlisted base on their performance at the interview". Dr Edu said anyone is free to write whatever petition and she is ready to reply them at the right time with evidences.
A group known as Efik leadership foundation had earlier written petition against the Agency on the conduct of the Primary Health Care job exercise. The group alleged that efik speakers of Southern Cross River State were not properly considered on the shortlisted names for the health job. The CRSPHDA are yet to receive the petition and were quoted saying "we are ready to attend to whatever petition that are brought afore us with evidences at our disposal, no irregularity was done, candidates were shortlisted according to the performance at the test." "External Examiners marked the script, collate the result and submitted to the Agency, we were not responsible for the marking of scripts and awarding of scores. We only looked through the marked scripts in making sure the right thing was done by the examiners", the Agency concluded.
