PHILIPPE COUTINHO has revealed he would like to play for the same club as Neymar in the future, handing a blow to Manchester United in the process.
The former Liverpool midfielder has been linked with a Nou Camp exit after failing to establish himself as a key player for Ernesto Valverde.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to oversee a ruthless overhaul of his side this summer with Coutinho linked as a potential midfield recruit.
But the Brazilian has stated he would like to play with Neymar, making a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain more likely.
Coutinho has netted 11 times and provided five assists in all competitions for Barcelona this season.
But the 26-year-old hasn’t always started for the La Liga leaders with Ousmane Dembele providing stiff competition.
Speaking to Calcio Mercato, Coutinho said: “It’s always a pleasure to play with him, it’s a crack.
“We played a lot of time in Brazilian youth teams, [Neymar] became a special player.
“Playing at his side is always a pleasure, even though I haven’t had any luck at the club level yet.

Reports have also emerged today that Chelsea could look to replace Eden Hazard with Coutinho.
The Blues could lose their talisman to Real Madrid this summer with Zinedine Zidane a keen admirer.
Chelsea are also interested in Lille star Nicolas Pepe.

Coutinho recently explained his celebration after scoring against Manchester United in the Champions League.
The Brazil ace covered his ears in what was a message to reporters that he ignores their criticism in order to perform at his best.
He explained: “It was like a liberation, so they would see that many times I have to cover my ears to be able to do my job.”
Coutinho will line up for Barcelona against former side Liverpool in the Champions League semi-finals.
