The turn out of voters in the northern senatorial district of CRS should not be a surprise to anyone. For it is normal for us, Efio-Ita Nyok you need to be from the north,voted in the North and possibly live in the north for you to understand the simple logic behind the arithmetic of the turnout.
Obudu came tops because of the massive sensitization/mobilization in favour of their own son, our son who is Governor and this awareness and strides commenced before the election proper e.g you should have noticed the increase in numbers of registered voters in Obudu and the north of CRS as a whole.
So all activities was shut down on election and voting became a must in Obudu and the north of Cross River State.Every family, every community and local organizations saw the rivalry from Owan/Usani-central that just left power represented by Liyel as an affront to their collective democratic/political progress of our district and decided unanimously to ensure that their vote counts.
This principle and dynamics was so strong and passionate that it rippled across the north of Cross River State thereby increasing the awareness and turnout, I believe that the massive sensitization and voters mobilization for their son and a zone which naturally should complete their term of 8years as South and Central had done played out in our favour and also due to his developmental drive and the believe of a more favourable government to us as people, region and state by him.
