“I Don’t Trust That Tinubu Will Deliver South/West This Time For Me - Buhari To Party Leaders.

**Buhari is losing the earlier Confidence and thinking of losing the election as Momentum Swings to Atiku.

After the Ogun state campaign disaster, the embattled Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari openly expressed regrets to key aides that he does not trust that the National Leader of the APC, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu will deliver enough votes for his victory on February 16.

The distrust Buhari made this revelation to a few of his close aides while further lamenting the poor reception that he received in Lagos and Ogun and the discord within the party across the country.

“The President is not happy with Tinubu's ability to deliver and is no longer confident of winning the Presidential election, according to his close confidants. “He believes that Tinubu has lost control of the South West with his fights with both Amosun in Ogun and Ambode in Lagos.” Osun state is more deposed to voting for the opposition party, the PDP, while there crises in IMO, Rivers, Zamfara and pockets of APC states.

The party’s internal plans in the last days of the campaign is to wean down Tinubu’s influence in the campaign, while empowering people like the former Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, Ekiti Governor, Kayode Fayemi, and the Secretary to the State Government, Boss Mustapha, to coordinate the affairs of the campaign alongside Rotimi Amaechi, the Director-General.

“Mr President believes that Tinubu should use the next 3 days to put his houses that are on fire in order. It is not enough to simply be called the National Leader of the APC, Tinubu must earn his seat at the table or risk becoming irrelevant to Baba,” the villa aide said.

Buhari is now talking loud that he may not win the re-election and the initial confidence he exhibited at the start of the election is no longer there as the momentum has swung hugely to Atiku Abubakar and the opposition PDP.
