Penultimate weekend was that of palpable anxiety, uncertainty and visible anger occasioned by news of postponed general elections.
But those emotions were short-lived as friends and wellwishers of Ebriku John Friday, a social media influencer, journalist and the CEO of eHub Media Nigeria Limited began the fireworks that snowballed into a wildfire that consumed all and sundry in a frenzied feasting to mark the 40th birthday of the #mediapreneur.
The celebration which started in earnest a week earlier witnessed a buzz on social media space exactly a week before the D-day.
One would have thought that only high calibre politicians would have a traditional dance troupe come out in a celebrative candour to welcome their own. But no. Ebriku as he is fondly called is no politician but a dance troupe of his immediate community of Itega Okpame somewhere in Yala Local Government Area ushered him home in a grand manner.
In other to continue giving back to society, Ebriku on Thursday, 14, February 2019, installed a library at Divine Providence Orphanage Home, Igoli Ogoja to engender and entrench reading culture in the home. The library was commissioned on Saturday, 16 February, 2019 by Chief Paul Santus, CEO, Santuscom Agro - hub.
The grand finale of the celebration was a tension-douser as it succeeded in dousing the tension and anger arising from the postponed elections. The event saw friends and wellwishers describe the celebrant in highly superlative terms.
But of course, who has encountered Ebriku John Friday and would not describe him in superlative?!
Welcome to the beginning of life, welcome to the sweet spot and have a blast at life, Sir!
